淮阴工学院是江苏省属本科院校，坐落于周恩来总理家乡、全国历史文化名城——江苏省淮安市。学校起源于1958年创建的淮阴工业专科学校，2000年与多所院校合并组建为淮阴工学院，现为硕士学位授予单位、江苏省一流应用型本科高校建设单位、博士学位授予立项建设单位。学校秉承“为中华之崛起而读书”校训，铸就了“明德尚学、自强不息”的校园精神，以工学为主，涵盖管理学、经济学、农学、文学、法学、艺术学、理学、教育学等多个学科门类，着力培养高素质复合应用型人才。

Huaiyin Institute of Technology is a public undergraduate university affiliated to Jiangsu Province, located in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, the hometown of Premier Zhou Enlai and a national historical and cultural city. Originating from Huaiyin Industrial College founded in 1958, it was restructured by merging multiple institutions in 2000. Currently, it is a master's degree-granting unit, a candidate for Jiangsu first-class applied undergraduate university construction, and a doctoral degree-granting project construction unit. Adhering to the motto "Study for the Rise of China" and upholding the campus spirit of "Virtue, Learning, and Self-Improvement", the university focuses on engineering while covering multiple disciplines including management, economics, agriculture, literature, law, arts, science, and education, dedicated to cultivating high-quality compound applied talents.

学校现有枚乘路、北京路、萧湖3个校区，校园占地2183.9亩，校舍总建筑面积73万多平方米，设有19个院（部、中心），74个本科专业，14个专业硕士学位授权点。全日制在校生2.4万余人，其中硕士研究生1600余人；教职工2000余人，专任教师1400余人，硕士生导师698人。拥有省“十四五”重点学科6个，ESI全球排名前1%学科5个（工程学、环境与生态学、化学、生物学与生物化学、材料科学），国家级一流本科专业建设点8个，通过工程教育认证专业9个，建有国家级平台5个、省部级平台53个，形成了完善的学科专业体系和育人平台。

The university has three campuses: Meicheng Road, Beijing Road, and Xiaohu, covering an area of 2183.9 mu with a total building area of over 730,000 square meters. It comprises 19 colleges (departments/centers), offering 74 undergraduate programs and 14 professional master's degree programs. There are over 24,000 full-time students, including more than 1,600 master's students; over 2,000 faculty members, with 1,400 full-time teachers and 698 master's supervisors. It boasts 6 key disciplines of Jiangsu "14th Five-Year Plan", 5 ESI top 1% disciplines (Engineering, Environment/Ecology, Chemistry, Biology & Biochemistry, Materials Science), 8 national first-class undergraduate program construction sites, and 9 programs accredited by engineering education. The university has established 5 national-level platforms and 53 provincial-level platforms, forming a comprehensive disciplinary system and educational platform.

近5年，学校获国家技术发明二等奖1项，教育部哲学社会科学一等奖1项，国防科学技术进步奖一等奖1项，省科技进步奖、省哲社优秀成果奖等省部级奖40余项；获批国家自科、社科基金等国家级科研项目100余项，国家授权发明专利950余件，专利转化金额3000余万元，进入中国高校专利转让排行榜前50强。办学67年来，累计为社会培养输送人才逾14万名，毕业生以应用能力强、发展后劲足广受好评，为地方经济社会发展作出重要贡献。

In the past five years, the university has won 1 Second Prize of National Technological Invention, 1 First Prize of Ministry of Education Philosophy and Social Sciences, 1 First Prize of National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award, and over 40 provincial-level awards including Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award. It has obtained over 100 national-level research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation and Social Science Foundation, over 950 authorized national invention patents, with patent transformation value exceeding 30 million yuan, ranking among the top 50 Chinese universities in patent transfer. Over 67 years of running, it has cultivated more than 140,000 talents for society. Graduates are widely praised for their strong application ability and sustainable development potential, making important contributions to local economic and social development.
