南京中医药大学始建于1954年，是全国建校最早的高等中医药院校之一，历经江苏省中医进修学校、南京中医学院等发展阶段，1995年更名为南京中医药大学。学校是国家“双一流”建设高校，也是江苏省人民政府与国家中医药管理局共建高校，被誉为“中国中医药人才摇篮”。

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM) was founded in 1954 and is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning for Chinese medicine in China. It has gone through stages of development such as Jiangsu Provincial School of Chinese Medicine Further Education and Nanjing College of Chinese Medicine, and was renamed Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 1995. The university is a national "Double First-Class" construction university and a joint university between the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, known as "the cradle of Chinese medicine talents in China".

学校学科实力雄厚，中医学、中药学、中西医结合3个学科入选国家“双一流”建设学科名单，在第四轮学科评估中均获A类评价。现有3个国家重点学科、2个国家重点（培育）学科，设有14个学院，开设37个本科专业，涵盖医、理、管、工、经、文等多个学科门类。

The university has strong disciplinary strength, with 3 disciplines including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Materia Medica, and Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine selected into the national "Double First-Class" construction discipline list, all receiving Class A evaluations in the fourth round of discipline assessments. It currently has 3 national key disciplines, 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines, 14 colleges, and offers 37 undergraduate majors, covering multiple disciplines such as medicine, science, management, engineering, economics, and literature.

学校坚持立德树人，注重人才培养质量，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点20个，国家级特色专业建设点6个。建有3所直属附属医院、23所非直属附属医院，形成了“医教协同、产学研用”一体化的办学模式，为中医药事业发展培养了大批高素质人才。

Adhering to moral education and emphasizing the quality of talent cultivation, the university has 20 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 6 national characteristic major construction sites. It has built 3 directly affiliated hospitals and 23 non-directly affiliated hospitals, forming an integrated school-running model of "medical-education collaboration, production-education-research integration", and has cultivated a large number of high-quality talents for the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
