宁夏理工学院是教育部批准的民办普通本科高等学校，位于宁夏回族自治区石嘴山市星海湖畔。学校始建于1985年，历经石嘴山联合职业大学、宁夏石嘴山职工大学、宁夏石嘴山职业技术学院等发展阶段，2005年升格为全日制普通本科高等学校，2021年获批硕士学位授予单位。学校以工为主，经、管、法、文、艺、教、理等多学科协调发展，现有13个二级院（系），4个专业硕士学位授权点（电子信息、会计、机械、材料与化工），51个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点2个，自治区级一流本科专业建设点12个。全日制在校生17000余人，面向全国24个省市区招生，应届毕业生就业率居全区高校前列。

Ningxia Institute of Science and Technology is a private ordinary undergraduate higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education, located by the Xinghai Lake in Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Founded in 1985, the university has gone through development stages such as Shizuishan United Vocational University, Ningxia Shizuishan Staff University, and Ningxia Shizuishan Vocational and Technical College. It was upgraded to a full-time ordinary undergraduate institution in 2005 and obtained the qualification for granting master's degrees in 2021. Focusing on engineering with coordinated development of multiple disciplines including economics, management, law, literature, art, education, and science, the university now has 13 secondary colleges (departments), 4 professional master's degree authorization points (Electronic Information, Accounting, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Chemical Engineering), and 51 undergraduate majors. Among them, there are 2 national-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 12 autonomous region-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The university has over 17,000 full-time students, enrolls students from 24 provinces and cities nationwide, and the employment rate of fresh graduates ranks among the top in colleges and universities in the region.
