商丘师范学院地处豫鲁苏皖四省接合部、国家历史文化名城河南商丘市，办学渊源可追溯至1905年创建的归德府中学堂，前身为1945年设立的河南省立商丘师范学校，2000年经教育部批准升格为本科院校。学校现有梁园、睢阳两个校区，占地近2000亩，建筑面积约70万平方米，秉承“应天归德，智圆行方”校训，以师范教育为底色，现为教育部师范教育协同提质计划重点支持院校、河南省“十四五”示范性应用型本科高校。

Shangqiu Normal University is located in Shangqiu City, Henan Province, a national historical and cultural city at the junction of Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. Its educational origin can be traced back to Guidefu Middle School founded in 1905, with its predecessor being Henan Provincial Shangqiu Normal School established in 1945. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2000. The university now has two campuses, Liangyuan and Suiyang, covering nearly 2,000 mu with a construction area of about 700,000 square meters. Adhering to the school motto of "Responding to Heaven and Returning to Virtue, With Wisdom as Circle and Action as Square", it takes normal education as its foundation and is now a key supported university under the Ministry of Education's Normal Education Collaborative Quality Improvement Plan and a model application-oriented undergraduate university in Henan Province's "14th Five-Year Plan".

学校学科涵盖10大学科门类，设有20个学院、65个本科专业，其中国家级一流专业和特色专业4个，化学学科进入ESI全球前1%。现有全日制在校生2.5万人，教职工1800余人，高级职称教师490余人，博士学位教师560余人。近五年获国家级科研项目148项，省厅级科研平台30个，校企合作项目超2300项，到账经费5.52亿元，在光电功能材料、阿尔茨海默病诊断等领域获省科技奖，助力商丘打造“金刚石之都”。

The university covers 10 disciplines, with 20 colleges and 65 undergraduate majors, including 4 national first-class majors and characteristic majors, and chemistry discipline entering the top 1% of ESI globally. It has 25,000 full-time students, over 1,800 faculty members, more than 490 senior title teachers, and over 560 teachers with doctoral degrees. In the past five years, it has obtained 148 national-level scientific research projects, 30 provincial and departmental-level scientific research platforms, over 2,300 school-enterprise cooperation projects with 552 million yuan in funding. It has won provincial science and technology awards in fields such as optoelectronic functional materials and Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, helping Shangqiu build the "Diamond Capital".

学校注重文化传承创新，成立殷商之源文化研究院、应天书院研究中心，开发庄子漆艺、宋城皮雕等文创产品，原创歌剧《应天书院》填补地方空白，译著《庄子》入选河南省外事宣传丛书。建校以来培养各类人才35万余人，毕业生中涌现出交通运输部长刘伟、国家杰青焦淑红等杰出代表，人才培养质量获社会广泛认可。

The university focuses on cultural inheritance and innovation, establishing the Shangyin Source Culture Research Institute and Yingtian Academy Research Center, developing cultural and creative products such as Zhuangzi lacquer art and Songcheng leather carving. Its original opera "Yingtian Academy" fills the local gap, and the translated work "Zhuangzi" was selected into Henan Province's foreign publicity series. Since its establishment, it has cultivated more than 350,000 talents of various types, with outstanding graduates including Liu Wei, Minister of Transport, and Jiao Shuhong, National Outstanding Youth, widely recognized by society for its talent training quality.
