The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, often referred to as Emilia University, is a public university located in northern Italy. With a history dating back to 1175, it is one of the oldest universities in Italy. After over 800 years of development, it has become an international comprehensive research university. The university has approximately 22,000 students, including over 5,000 postgraduates and around 2,400 international students. Its faculty consists of more than 800 professors and over 2,000 associate professors, lecturers, and researchers. The university maintains long-term exchange and cooperation with many key Chinese universities under the "211 Project" and "985 Project" and plays an important role in the Sino-Italian "Marco Polo Program".
