云南司法警官职业学院是一所政法类全日制人民警察高等职业院校，由云南省司法厅领导、省监狱管理局管理，为副厅级单位。学院始建于1980年4月，前身为劳改干部轮训班，历经多次更名与发展，于2003年1月经云南省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案，升格为高职学院。学校坐落于昆明市空港经济区大板桥金盾苑1号，占地345亩，主要为司法行政系统及社会培养具备法律素养和警务技能的应用型职业警官与法治专门人才。

Yunnan Vocational College of Judicial Police is a full-time public security higher vocational college of political and legal type, led by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice and managed by the Provincial Prison Administration Bureau, at the deputy department level. Founded in April 1980 as the Correctional Cadre Training Course, the college underwent several name changes and developments before being upgraded to a higher vocational college in January 2003 with the approval of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education. Located at No.1 Jindunyuan, Dabanqiao, Kunming Airport Economic Zone, covering an area of 345 mu, the college mainly cultivates applied vocational police officers and legal professionals with legal literacy and police skills for the judicial administrative system and society.

学院现有司法行政警察专业6个（刑事执行、行政执行等）和普通专业6个（法律事务、安全防范技术等），形成了以政法类专业为核心的特色专业体系。教学设施完善，拥有司法技术实训中心、警察体育实训基地等多个校内实训场所，并在省内外建有54个实习实训基地。截至近年，全日制在校学生近3400人，教职工200余人，其中教授、副教授占比约30%，硕士以上学位教师占比超50%。

The college currently has 6 judicial administrative police majors (Criminal Execution, Administrative Execution, etc.) and 6 general majors (Legal Affairs, Security Technology, etc.), forming a characteristic professional system with political and legal majors as the core. It has complete teaching facilities, including a judicial technology training center, police physical training base and other on-campus training sites, and has established 54 off-campus internship and training bases inside and outside the province. As of recent years, there are nearly 3,400 full-time students and more than 200 faculty members, among whom professors and associate professors account for about 30%, and teachers with master's degree or above account for over 50%.
