布达佩斯理工大学（Budapest University of Technology and Economics，简称BME）是匈牙利历史最悠久、规模最大的理工类高等学府，始建于1782年，前身为匈牙利皇家理工学院，由神圣罗马帝国女皇玛丽亚·特蕾西亚创立。作为中东欧地区顶尖的技术类大学之一，BME在工程、自然科学及技术创新领域享有盛誉，是欧洲大学协会（EUA）和欧洲理工学院协会（CLUSTER）成员，也是欧盟“地平线2020”计划的重要参与机构。

Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) is the oldest and largest technical university in Hungary, founded in 1782 as the Royal Hungarian Institute of Technology by Empress Maria Theresa of the Habsburg Empire. As one of the top technical universities in Central and Eastern Europe, BME enjoys a distinguished reputation in engineering, natural sciences, and technological innovation. It is a member of the European University Association (EUA) and the CLUSTER Consortium of European Technical Universities, and a key participant in the EU's Horizon 2020 program.

The university comprises 8 faculties, covering fields such as Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Economics and Social Sciences, offering comprehensive degree programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels. BME is renowned for its practice-oriented teaching and cutting-edge research, housing numerous national key laboratories and research centers, with notable achievements in sustainable energy, intelligent manufacturing, information technology, and water resource management.
