The University of Huddersfield is a public university located in West Yorkshire, England. Its history dates back to the Huddersfield Scientific and Medical Research College founded in 1825, and it was officially granted university status in 1992. It ranks among the top five providers of sandwich courses in the UK, with graduate employment rates leading the nation.

Its Precision Technologies Research Centre ranks among Europe's top three, while the innovative New Sound Wave Research Laboratory for music students is the first of its kind in England. Social work and media studies have previously been rated as the best in the UK.

Currently home to over 22,000 students from more than 110 countries, the university has invested £232 million in campus facilities since 2008, including modern libraries, specialized laboratories and performing arts centres. Maintaining close partnerships with global enterprises, over 2,000 students gain industry experience through paid internships annually, with 94% of graduates securing employment or further study within 15 months of graduation.
